Luker1900 Posted 2 January Share Posted 2 January Would like to know more about this sword if anyone has any information at all that would be great!
trajan Posted 3 January Share Posted 3 January Well, British-made as it has Enfield stamps on it! I guess that after the sun rises in the UK (in about 2 hours time!) you will get more! But looks to me like an artillery officer's piece. Trajan

Spaceman Posted 3 January Share Posted 3 January From my limited knowledge, it appears to be a 1821 Pattern Royal Artillery Officer's sword made at Enfield. Not sure whether the '01 dates it to 1901?
OLD ROBIN HOOD Posted 5 January Share Posted 5 January Greetings I would say that since this sword is Ordinance made at Enfield and not private purchase it would be issued to a senior N.C.O. rather than bought by an officer .And yes ,the '01 does stand for 1901.
