RFT Posted 2 January Share Posted 2 January Researching 329878, AC2 Victor Cecil Butcher, RAF. Born 18 Feb 1900 at Prittlewell, Southend, Essex, son of Mr & Mrs C W Butcher. Family known to be residing at Cemetery Lodge, Sutton Road, Southend-on-Sea in 1919. Mr Butcher entered RAF 20 May 1919 having previously served as a RNVR Telegraphist, mid-1917 to 13 Jan 1919. Served in South Russia as a General Clerk with 47 "A" Squadron RAF, 15 Jun 1919 - 13 Mar 1920. RAF confirms 27 Mar 1920 - Transp. from Ambulance Transport and Admitted 20th Stationary Hospital, Constantinople. Hospital discharge date not known. Discharged from RAF 21 Sep 1920.
