stevie1944 Posted 31 December , 2023 Share Posted 31 December , 2023 Hello, does anyone have an individual burial location (body density) map for Sheet 28.I? Thank you!
WhiteStarLine Posted 31 December , 2023 Share Posted 31 December , 2023 Here you go, just download from link below. Note that all of the IWM's Individual Burial Location maps have been georeferenced and are available free of charge on TrenchMapper. As they are mostly 1:40K maps, non-WFA members enjoy the same maximum zoom level as WFA members. WFA members can download maps free. 1:40,000 19, 20, 27, 28, 36, 36a [parts of] Ypres to Armentières 1933 1:40,000 19, 20, 27, 28, 36, 36a [parts of] Armentieres, Bailleul, Comines-Warneton, Poperinghe, Ypres 1933 1:40,000 19 & 20 & 27 & 28 & 36 & 36a [Parts of] Body Density Ypres, Armentières, Wervicq 1924 1:40,000 19 & 20 & 27 & 28 [Parts of] Body Density Ypres, Armentières, Wervicq and south May 1918 1:40,000 28 Poperinghe, Ypres Jan 1918 1:40,000 28 Poperinghe, Ypres Jan 1918 Position of Trenches Approximate 1:40,000 28 Poperinghe, Ypres Feb 1917 1:40,000 28 Poperinghe, Ypres Feb 1917 1:100,000 1 Bethune to North Sea Nov 1915 Also, the White Cross Atlas maps sourced via Richard Laughton have been georeferenced as has his document of some 2,000 IWCG localities. The next TrenchMapper version, scheduled for February 2024, allows users to filter map listings, such as 'filter Ypres to Body Density and White Cross.' Or, run queries such as 'show every point of interest within 750 metres of Maple Copse' or 'show all IWGC graves in 28.I.' If you are a serious COG-BR researcher then PM me as collectively we can refine what researchers need. We've had fantastic assistance from some forum pals and we have some useful backend resources, such as running a query on IWCG / CWGC assets located between 28.I.10 and 28.I.19. Cheers, Bill
