baz87 Posted 30 December , 2023 Author Share Posted 30 December , 2023 Hi andrew thanks for the input someone else has said the same, so it would indicate march 1914 issue, this particlular piece is from ireland and i suspect a later re-issue to british forces of the time namely black and tans? And was susbsequently captured by irish volunteers. This is deactivated but does not bear sold out service marks!
DisasterDog Posted 30 December , 2023 Share Posted 30 December , 2023 Almost certainly ‘03 and ‘14, which would refer to 1903 and 1914 respectively, rather than March 1914.
baz87 Posted 30 December , 2023 Author Share Posted 30 December , 2023 Ok so would that be x2 issue dates 1903 and 1914 or an inspection date of 1903 and then issued in 1914! Its been puzziling me a lot! Thanks for info!
