Harry Dunn

Hello, I know this is a long shot but I'm looking for a photograph of Harry Dunn (1896-1919) from Bristol.

He enlisted with the South Midland Brigade of the Royal Field Artillery in 1915 and went on to serve in France and Belgium on the Western Front until 1917, when he was transferred to Italy.

We recently found out that we are a direct relation of his.
Here's a bit of back story..

I'm aware there is a photograph of Harry out there but have been unlucky in my search so far. I'm hoping someone out there can help! Thanks

The best way, but the most time-consuming, is to look through all the newspapers during WW1 for the area that he lived, or his family lived. The obvious time to look is from the date of his death to see if his family put a photo in the local rag. A lot of families did, but if you know roughly when he signed up, then that is another good date range to look in the papers because many more photos were uploaded at the start of the War than when, or if, they died. If there is no photo in either of those two date ranges, then expand and look through EVERY newspaper in the war years.

I found a photo of my own Grandfather in uniform in the newspaper, (see my profile photo), something that my own father had never seen, so it's well worth doing.
