20 Squadron - Percy Griffith Jones

I have recently come across two old requests, 2007 & 2010, for information about Sergeant Mechanic Percy Griffith Jones of 20 Squadron. The threads were not being answered by their originators, so I thought it better to start a new topic:

Percy Jones was Observer/Gunner for my grandfather, T.C.Traill, in 20 Squadron for six weeks in 1918 until his death. I have been typing up and adding extracts from my grandfather's typewritten memoirs [a copy is held at the IWM] and slowly adding them to my Wordpress site. There are five posts which deal with Percy Jones. In chronological order these are:

20 Squadron 1918 https://tctraill.wordpress.com/2023/12/13/20-squadron-1918/

No parachutes then https://tctraill.wordpress.com/2014/08/18/we-did-not-have-parachutes-then/

AA shell through cockpit https://tctraill.wordpress.com/2023/12/12/aa-shell-through-the-cockpit/

We killed a cow https://tctraill.wordpress.com/2014/08/10/we-had-a-long-drawn-out-fight-and-killed-a-cow/

Jones’ last patrol https://tctraill.wordpress.com/2023/12/13/jones-last-patrol/

For anyone interested in 20 Squadron in general there is more on the site, and more to be added: https://tctraill.wordpress.com/
