chaz Posted 12 December , 2023 Share Posted 12 December , 2023 (edited) dont know how far you got but his MIC , star and bwm/victory are on Ancestry, either as H D Birks or Harry D Birks. Harry was often used as a derivative for Henry, a common alternative used by mates and informal families. to France 9/12/1915 Fold3 has a pension card GSW L Hand and trench fever, also Harry Durant Birks born 1876 there is also a card 94936, 4857 Ancestry has a Railway employment for Harry Durant Birks. back to his medals, have you asked on the BMF? only 3 possibles for Boer war medals Henry 3179 Dublin, Henry 56221 Artillery or H1329 Scots cant find Boer war record, has he different number or a regiment on the QSA Edited 12 December , 2023 by chaz
