Thatww1pigeon Posted 9 December , 2023 Share Posted 9 December , 2023 Here I have a presumed World War One trench whistle. Judging by the engravings on the front I would conclude is from the United States. It is not dated, but looks to be marked B & P, with the left side of the B faded away but barely visible. Does anyone know the manufacturers for trench whistles during the Great War? The eagle is holding arrows (or spears) in its left foot and some type of plant in its right foot. Some sort of shield with four Stars and Stripes is placed in the middle of the eagle, and the letters G and S are above the eagle as well. The backdrop of the eagle looks to be a four leaf clover, possibly the 88th division…but not entirely sure. Opinions are welcome!
