Having just found a Cockermouth man a  Joseph Nixon Thompson aged 31, who died on the 2nd July 1915 supposedly drowned on the Northland.

My question is what type of ship was the Northland please ? Also I hope this is in the remit of the forum and sorry if it ain't you can gladly lock it.
