Generally speaking the Canadian Scots regiments used the same tartans in those specific cases where they used the same title protocols as their British Imperial counterparts, e.g. Black Watch, Seaforth, Cameron, etc. It was in those cases where the regimental titles were unique and without a direct counterpart that individual tartans were worn.
