chaz Posted 19 November , 2023 Share Posted 19 November , 2023 back searching records for soldiers in my collection, Ive got one died of wounds in Etaples. The KSLi war diary for the period August 1915 says they were in Rouge de Bont from 11th August , its a good diary in the fact the officer compiling has included notification that a soldier has died of wounds received on the 11th. They left Rouge de Bont on the 17th August. question, Ive checked McMaster and Google but cant find Rouge de Bont, any ideas?
WhiteStarLine Posted 19 November , 2023 Share Posted 19 November , 2023 @chaz, TrenchMapper has 49,000 georeferenced points of interest. Typing in roug d elicits only 1 result and it's a few kilometers back from the front line. A possible candidate for you:
