Missed out on this lad’s BWM and VM today at an auction.

They went, would you believe, for £110 !!

 1829 Pte. Harry J. Johnson,  5th. Bn. Essex Regiment.

 KIA 17/8/1915 Gallipoli (aged 18).

 Listed on the War Memorial at Goldhanger (Essex).

 I have been trying to bring Maldon related casualty medals together, but failed on this one. I really hope they went to a good home – I gave it a go (up to £100!).

Oh well - you win some.....still, he is certainly NOT FORGOTTEN.
