Regards PG I am NOT an expert. But I can make the following observations. 'G.D.B', known maker of these in 1917 and 1918, 1918 year of manufacture. 'II' indicates this is a mark II, introduced 1915 and made until 1943/44. 'I'G', Indian Governement acceptance stamp by (?)inpector 52. Don't know the 'I M/A', but standard broad arrow mark for government kit. I suspect that is at the bototm 'Co 1918' for the scabbard made / issued at Cossipore armoury 1918. I believe that the “o” is actually the cursive “a” of “Ca” for Cawnpore.
