Unknown American/British? Holster

Hi everyone. I recently put this post in the ‘other equipment’ section, but I hadn’t realized there was an arms/weapons section, so apologizes if your seeing this for the second time.

I recently acquired a pistol holster that looks like it has some age to it. Apart from the name and the Star of David on the front as well as the serial number on the back I do not see any other defining features. Apart from that, I never usually collect holsters so they are not my strong suite. One of my thoughts is that it may be commercial? Thoughts and opinions are welcome:)
