Another memorial in Rivenhall (Essex) church - this time to the Assistant Adjutant of 3/2 Essex, A. Maunsell Bradhurst. He survived and died in 1923.

Interesting background...Augustus Bradhurst remained an American citizen until WW1, he had been brought up in England and resident in Essex for many years.

His wife Minnie Evangeline BRADHURST nee Page-Wood papers include her WW1 Scrapbook is held at the Essex Record Office - includes photographs of her husband and family. In November 2017 it was featured as the book of the month.

Their daughter Christine was a V.A.D.

According to the Gazette he became a naturalized citizen on 13 June 1917, before being appointed a temporary Lieutenant with the 3/2nd Battalion of the Essex Volunteer Regiment on 24 August 1917.
