Unknown place on German map

Another puzzle in maps being processed for TrenchMapper.

Does anyone have any idea where this place is? Does the word under Skizze (sketch) ring any bells?

The arrow on the right might suggest North is downwards.

Looks like a possible British map ref in top corner.

It just says Skizze vom Abschnitt C (map of sector C). Do you know from which unit this map comes?

It should be easy enough to locate at a better resolution.

The road leading to the top left is marked „von“ (from) ………..  

bottom right near the scale the road is marked „n(ach)“ to …………..

Well spotted, I hadn't noticed. Anyway, at the bottom it says "n. Hendecourt", at the top "von A...". There may be some info on the road in the middle on the right hand side as well.

Note that the map is upside down (the north is towards the bottom).

I think it may be Riencourt-lès-Cagnicourt. Directions would be then towards Quéant (A and Q can be written similarly), and Bullecourt (middle right).

Excellent result, many thanks.

And here it is georeferenced. It required a Thin Plate Spline transformation to force the sketch into compliance with modern imagery. This is normal for sketches, even though most of them were probably traced from printed maps.
