Lee Smart Posted 17 October , 2023 Share Posted 17 October , 2023 (edited) Ladies and Gents, I am interested in comparing the effect of the morale on the Home Fronts - in particular I am interested in understanding how the German Soldiers were supported by the State both in their pay and allowances, and any other benefits, in cash or in kind, that were provided for their families ....and the War Pensions that were issued to the bereaved (as well as any other support available). My starter for ten to get the discussion going is a summary that I put together on the British Army's Pay, allowances, pensions and wound/death notifications provided to my Great Grandmother during the war and on the death of her husband Albert in 1915.
