ianw Posted 14 April , 2005 Share Posted 14 April , 2005 The Forum Formation Kwak Drinking Team are on tour in Ypres during this weekend, I am there with 2 companions and several other reprobates also seem likely to be around. It would be excellent to get everyone together with the usual local suspects as well. Please declare yourselves ! Regards Ian
John_Hartley Posted 14 April , 2005 Share Posted 14 April , 2005 Ian I'm up for it (at least after mid-afternoon on Saturday). In another thread, I asked Chris if he could co-ordinate a meet-up and he's said he will publish the Tour itinerary. John
Derek Robertson Posted 14 April , 2005 Share Posted 14 April , 2005 and several other reprobates also seem likely to be around. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As one of the "reprobates" I'm declaring myself. There is also a contingent from Ulster on tour at the same time - they add a whole new dimension to the term "reprobates". (I jest)
ianw Posted 14 April , 2005 Author Share Posted 14 April , 2005 I understand the Pals are at the MG on Friday and then planning to go to somewhere for dinner - maybe Vivaldi. As tour driver with passengers I will have to avoid the demon drink - else never find my way back to the billets at Boesinghe.

ianw Posted 14 April , 2005 Author Share Posted 14 April , 2005 As regards Friday night at the Menin Gate, I am sure a Pals group will coalesce because quite a number of people have already met. Perhaps we could hang around at the end of the ceremony say at the South register box (Ypres) end and say hullo.
ypresman Posted 16 April , 2005 Share Posted 16 April , 2005 Will you be wearing a red poppy, so we can identify you? Meet you there then!

John_Hartley Posted 16 April , 2005 Share Posted 16 April , 2005 Dear Tour Pals My itinerary and yours overlap round about St Julien on Sunday. Look out for middle aged bloke with dark blue Corolla trying to work out route of 6/Cheshire on 31/7/17. After that, I'll be at Zonnebeke so hope to say hello to Kristof, Martin, etc. What are the Tour's plans on Sunday evening? I'll also be at the Menin Gate, Saturday & Sunday. At some point during the weekend, I will be giving an airing to my official Pals polo shirt. John
