HMS Arctic Whale and sister (post-war in commercial use at Bermuda)

I still have not established how and when HMS Baleana came to be at Bermuda or when she was renamed "Beechwin", but have found when she was re-named "John S. Darrell. John S. Darrell and Co. was a well established shipping agency and coal merchants, but in this notice from the 26th August, 1931, issue of The Royal Gazette, she is shown as the property of Darrell and Meyer Ltd of St. George's town, which must have been some sort of partnership between John S. Darrell and Wm. Meyer and Company (part of Friesenbruch-Meyer Group, today). The younger William Meyer was Mayor of the town at the time.

Tees built ships  gives the date as 1920

Thank you very much. That is a great help. It rather implies Balaena moved to Bermuda in 1931, quite separately from Arctic Whale, and their both being there was presumably co-incidence.
