Cheshire regiment, and perhaps a bugler given those cords he's wearing ?

Yes agreed Tony, he’s a drummer of the Cheshire Regiment wearing a khaki drill (tropical climate) jacket with drummers cords festooned from his shoulders and chest.  As a non royal regiment the drummers cords were plain green.  He would have sounded the bugle regularly as part of duties to mark out his battalion’s daily routine from rouse/reveille until lights out.
