Agree, the Ford was part of the 4th Southern General Hospital - most likely be here for GSW and the timing seems to fit as Ford opened July 1915.  Other hospitals in area included convalescent and venereal.

Information now not necessary perhaps, but in answer to the initial question Stoke Military Hospital (now home to Devonport High School) was another hospital in the area; it faced RNH Stonehouse (now The Millfields) across Stonehouse Creek.

Could this be in use during that period?

If there was another why would not the records show which Hosp he died in?

Did it take wounded from Gallipoli?

I am pretty sure the General Military hospital and the Stoke Military hospital in Devonport were the same thing - or at least part of the same complex.  This however dies need confirmation

Hah, sorry!

The naval hospital ships sailing from Gallipoli certainly stopped at Lemnos, Alexandria and sometimes Malta and Gibraltar before arriving at Devonport, and I have no reason to believe that the army hospital ships didn't do the same.
