mbriscoe Posted 28 September , 2023 Share Posted 28 September , 2023 This was posted in a list Quote I'm not sure if this info has been pointed out before. The Canadian government, through the Canadiana website, is making 1000's of documents available. This link to a file of 100's of pages of Canada's involvement with SOE. It lists names of possible recruits to the Q list which was a 30 day tryout. If you passed then on to the UK. It covers personnel movement and sadly even letters from a wife asking why she hasn't heard from her husband. https://heritage.canadiana.ca/view/oocihm.lac_reel_t17478/9 Just been dipping into it and sure there is a lot to be found. I thought that might be of interest here. alf mcm Posted 28 September , 2023 Share Posted 28 September , 2023 This is a great source of portraits. The 2 pages of nurses are very interesting, but the sheer number of soldier portraits is incredible, and must run into the thousands. I am sure a lot of members will find this site of interest.
