I've been after for ages, and finally secured, a copy of Methodist College Belfast Roll of Honour.

There's loads of names but one I think may be of interest is ex-pupil-Robert S H Fuhr became a Lieut-col in the RAMC...

I take it his name was a bit to Germanic and he became Major General RS Hannay C.B., C.M.G., D.S.O.....so just incase someone is researching the man and are coming up blank!

Hello Mark

He is listed as being promoted from Major to Lt-Col with a gazette date of 1st March 1915 http://www.gazettes-online.co.uk/archiveVi...&selHonourType=

It is interesting that at this time his name hasn't changed.

And again at the end of 1916 http://www.gazettes-online.co.uk/archiveVi...&selHonourType=

Hello again Mark

His full name appears to be Robert Strickland Hannay Fuhr.
