Apparently there is no way of confirming who the badge number was attributable to unless the member completed the registration form at time of gaining membership and this form has survived. Searching the National Archives there are a number of branches where records are still held at https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/results/r?_q=Comrades+of+the+Great+War&_hb=oth Reading in particular looks like it may have the members details. Other records may give an idea as to which ranch your badges came from by a 'near number search'.....
