A soldier I'm researching 2310 Alexander MacDonald 1/14th London Scottish was a clerk in the London Branch of the Bank of Montreal. Does anyone know where that was 1911-1914. Was there more than one branch? In 1911 he was living at 7 Witherington Road, Highbury, Islington, and seems to have been lodging? with the Dando family. Soldiers Died in the Great War has his residence at Hampstead. Just trying to join a few dots on his life in London. Not sure when he went to London. Born 1885.

Mike,

His human resources file (2 pages) is on the Bank of Montreal Our Heritage site.

Offices at Threadneedle Street and Waterloo Place, Pall Mall in 1914 (BNA).
