Remembered Today:

Name checking our Irish heritage - Liverpool

I've spent many an hour and day looking for the parents of Liverpool Pals casualties in Ireland. The intricacies of their surnames has been quite a challenge so I was interested to read this article in the Liverpool Echo by Ken Rodgers, the Lost Tribe author.

You may find it a useful reference, or is the map too generalised?

Speaking as a descendant of one of the 'Liverpool Irish' who settled in Everton, of the myriad of Irish surnames in my family line, not a single one hails from any of the places indicated for them on that map. I may be an exception, though I suspect not.
