How was the Last Post, Stephen? From the LPA photos it looks as though it's being held near the lions, although I believe the original plan was for it to be on the grass by the ramparts.

Hi - yes, it is in between the Lions. A bit chaotic with all the people moving through a makeshift tunnel to get from one side of the gate to the other. Then standing in a small area before exiting via another tunnel. the service is just as moving - even though it is on the edge of a building site! I have made my thoughts known to the CWGC. Regards. Stephen.

Thanks, very interesting. It also seems that when laying a wreath at the ceremony you do so right on top of the spectators. I always appreciated that brief private moment at the top of the steps. Let's hope the work will be finished on time.

Agree with you. I laid a wreath in 2014 and those few seconds "alone" are really moving. Regards. S.

Where did you take the picture of the dugout?

Glad to see that you both enjoyed all that Belgium has to offer!

Hi Sapper D. - if you mean the "then and now" image, it was at the Passchendaele Museum. Best regards. Stephen (Maldon),
