Fedelmar Posted 10 September Share Posted 10 September WA 1st AIF ENLISTMENTS Greetings everyone. As many people know, I had a dream that we could have a ‘one stop shop’ of WA 1st AIF Enlistments. That dream has been several years in the making and I am pleased to say that whilst still a ‘work in progress’ it is now available for public viewing. Darryl Brady has very kindly agreed to host the database on his website; https://www.bradyfamilytree.org/genealogy/index.php Over on the right hand side you will see the link to WA 1st AIF Enlistments, click on that and utilize the search boxes at the top of the column you want to use or the large search box at the top on the right hand side. As the database is a ‘work in progress’ not all files have been completed which will result in an incomplete file. If you would like to assist with this project, please contact me. PROJECT INFORMATION! WA 1st Australian Imperial Force Enlistments by Sandra Playle - © 2023 Updates welcome to fedelmar AT hotmail DOT com We have dedicated this database in memory of Gail Brealey from Manjimup WA. Gail was a tremendous supporter of the #WAAIF project and continued with her research right up until a few weeks before she sadly passed away due to cancer. Sincere appreciation must be extended to the many dedicated people who have contributed to the success of this very large project. Lorraine Hudson, Barry Green, Bev Davies, Claire Shepperson, Noelene Newman, Dianne McPherson, Judi Harlond, Jill Higgins, Rhonda Sarti, Michelle Roberts, Ross Bertinshaw, Leesa Beatson, Ian Wilson, Bruce Burkhardt, Annette Plant Grigo & Angela Heymans. Others who have assisted are; Norm Rudd, Albis Durrand, Leanne Goss, Lou Kidd, Jenny McKay, Kaye Beazley, Jacquie Liddard, Monica Goodlad, Derek Rea and Darryl Brady. Fedelmar Posted 11 September Author Share Posted 11 September Thanks Steve. If you don't mind checking the 10th lads and letting me know if there is stuff that should be in there that isn't. Database has a specific format and requirements as it is only designed as a starting point and if people want additional information that can gather that from the resources that are available. Keep up the good work... Cheers, Frev Thanks Frev. It has been a long road (2014 it was started) and had a few hiccups along the way. I am blessed to have a team of dedicated researchers and like any volunteer project it is always in need of more. I am pleased that some of the volunteers knew little about our people and they have learnt so much more! This is where your marriages come from ... when I am working on the database.
