PRC Posted 11 August , 2023 Share Posted 11 August , 2023 Hi @Bradford and welcome to the forum As Michelle says a name, service number and regiment would save a lot of speculation as to possible meaning - although I'll speculate anyway! The most likely meaning is a shortened version of "Discharged under Kings Regulations (1912) Paragraph 392 section xvi - No longer physically fit for military service - on the 3rd March 1914". However not sure why he would therefore have a Medal Index Card unless he applied for a Silver War Badge and was turned down. Cheers, Peter
Bradford Posted 11 August , 2023 Author Share Posted 11 August , 2023 Thank you so much for this information. It was just a scrap of paper ( copy of the card) that we discovered. As you say someone must have been been looking but we don’t have a reason why. Kind regards….
