Knowing of my interest in things Great War my brother bought me a group of photos, mostly around Cambridgeshire which I will share here. Next some local airfields around Cambridge.

Fantastic photos Paul.

Stripeyman - The two lower photos show different aerodromes - Fowlmere and Duxford.

Very similar because I assume they built them to a standard plan.

They might have been built to a standard layout, but Fowlmere had sliding doors to its 1918 pattern GS sheds, whereas Duxford had the Esavian folding doors. Consequently, Fowlmere's sheds had the distinctive brick gantries at either side of the door openings.

Sorry I should have written out the caption as as there is a nasty crease through the original title at the top of the Fowlmere photo. Interesting info about the doors, I had not spotted that Thank You.
