Can anyone think of any 5th Scottish Rifles memoirs, apart from John Reith's Wearing Spurs?

Thanks, William

Hi,

Apart from the battalion history (The Fifth Battalion the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) 1914-1919 edited by David Martin), I have a record of a series of articles called 5th Battalion Reminiscences by CSM P. Docherty, which appeared in their regimental museum The Covenantor in 1936.

The Cameronians Museum may be able to supply these articles, and may have other suggestions: ttps://www.sllccameronians.co.uk/info/5/first_world_war/12/researching_a_first_world_war_soldier

If you do contact them I'd be grateful if you could post the results on GWF please.

All the best, John
