WilliamRev Posted 2 August Share Posted 2 August (edited) Can anyone think of any 5th Scottish Rifles memoirs, apart from John Reith's Wearing Spurs? Thanks, William Edited 2 August by WilliamRev
johntaylor Posted 2 August Share Posted 2 August Hi, Apart from the battalion history (The Fifth Battalion the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) 1914-1919 edited by David Martin), I have a record of a series of articles called 5th Battalion Reminiscences by CSM P. Docherty, which appeared in their regimental museum The Covenantor in 1936. John

johntaylor Posted 4 August Share Posted 4 August The Cameronians Museum may be able to supply these articles, and may have other suggestions: ttps://www.sllccameronians.co.uk/info/5/first_world_war/12/researching_a_first_world_war_soldier If you do contact them I'd be grateful if you could post the results on GWF please. All the best, John
