I took this photo in the Ypres area 41 years ago. It shows the late Maurice Hall, ex Cpl 5/8 Kings. However I am not saying where it is, comments gladly accepted.

Great War veterans usually look much older than their years in photographs, but this man could easily pass for a man several decades younger couldn't he?

I agree with 303man. It took me a split second to think : Must be Railway Wood (next to the road Hellfire Corner - A19, or north of Menin Road). However I am nut sure, as I see no other landscape features corroborating this.

He was born 1940..........
