Sniper Posted 25 July , 2023 Share Posted 25 July , 2023 (edited) Interestingly, Sergeant Richard Travis, VC is remembered today (above) under his birth name of Savage. As far as I can ascertain, he served as Richard Travis and it was under his assumed name that he was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross. In addition to the DCM and MM, he was also awarded the Belgian Croix de Guerre. He was the Sergeant in charge of the Sniper Section. His personal score is not recorded.
