Hey there, picked up a bayonet recently but couldn't quite match it to anything I could find, was hoping one of you could enlighten me in this gap.

Thanks

Hello mate

K98 Bayonet by the looks of it, but I'm not sure.

Hello, OMiC - It's a German WWI ersatz bayonet that was delivered to Turkey.  The Turks added the muzzle ring after the war.  Regards, Torrey

Yes this could be german ersatz ASG88/98 bayonet refurbished by turks for their M1935 generic rifle configuration.

Ah that explains what I was thinking. Thought it was an ersatz but had different muzzle ring.

Thank you all for your comments,

OMiC

Yes, as Andy stated, that is a typical Turkish crossguard modification for fitting to the 'Turkish Mauser' rebuilds of the mod-late 1930's.
