According to Google, Cormons, the village mentioned in the BritishPathe stills above, is in Italy.

Yes, but the border between Italy and Austria-Hungary was very close to Cormons prior to the Great War.  I'm not sure on which side of the border it actually lay but it seems possible that it was in Austria-Hungary
