I and my friend have a soldier 241052 Arthur BREARLEY death listed as 21 3 1918 in the records, who apparently died as a POW, his card as far as I can read it is as follows " Brearley A . Sold. erks 241052/10353 2 6 L F GEFALLEN LAUT MELDUNG VON 14 4 1918 VON EINEN RES JNF RGT BEERD GWIUCHEN MARGICOURT  ? JEANCOURT " Can any Pal interpretate this for us. Be really helpful if possible. His card reference is PA 32917

He was listed as having been killed in a report by a Reserve Infantry Regiment dated 14.04.1918 and was buried between Hargicourt and Jeancourt.

Edit - Sold(at) Erk(ennungs)m(arke) = Private, Regtl Number……..

Always happy to help when I can. Just to make it clear, he was found dead by the Germans so he was never a PoW.

Ah. So much the better, not the fact he died but he was not a POW as we have had all along Thanks again. Ralph
