Royal Artillery - sweetheart broch?

RGA RHA, or RFA...all branches used the same badge.

As Alan says it’s a sweetheart brooch Kathryn.  These traditional tokens, intended for wear by the womenfolk of soldiers, first emerged to become popular around the time of the 2nd Anglo/Boer War (1899-1902), they were very lucrative for the jewellery quarters of Birmingham, London and Edinburgh.  WW1 led to a huge expansion of their production, which although repeated in WW2 never quite reached the same scale.  There were many famous companies making these.
