Hello Everyone!.

I am researching 222893 Chief Petty Officer James Edward Brown and would like to see if he was awarded any medals for his service in the royal navy, I know that he died in 1939.
unsure if the royal navy service men had medal index cards as I cannot seem o find his medal index card.
any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

Possibly better in the "Sailors, navies and the war at sea" sub-forum so will pop up a mention of @horatio2 in case he isn't prowling here.

From the Admiralty Medal Roll:  The 1914-15 Star, Victory Medal and British War Medal were claimed and issued to him post-war when he was serving in HMS PEMBROKE, the RN Barracks, Chatham.

He also qualified for the RN Long Service and Good Conduct (LS&GC) Medal. See note "Traced Medal 15.4.20".
