Allan1892 Posted 31 May , 2023 Share Posted 31 May , 2023 A soldier that I am looking at received treatment on the 21st August 1918 at the 14th Field Ambulance which at that time was based at Sailly Aubois. He was transferred the same day to an unknown CCS. Does anyone know what CCS would have been near to Sailly Aubois at that time?
clk Posted 31 May , 2023 Share Posted 31 May , 2023 (edited) Hi Allan1892, The Division ADMS diary shows the arrangements that were in place at the time (I think): Image sourced from the National Archives It seems that 19 and 43 CCSs were at Frevent at the time Images sourced from the National Archives Regards Chris EDIT; Looking at the respective diaries it looks like 19 CCS opened at 07:00hrs, taking in 300 casualties, before switching to 43 CCS at about 14:00hrs.
