Phil Russell Posted 8 April , 2005 Share Posted 8 April , 2005 A close friend recently visited his grandfather's memorial at Tyne Cot ... a member of the 18Bn Lancashire Fusiliers who died on 22 October 1917 (Albert George Sparrow). He asked if I could find out where his relative might have been killed. A search to date shows that some 82 members of that Bn died that day (79 men + 3 officers), with the vast majority (all but 1?) being 'missing' and commemorated on the Tyne Cot memorial. The only known grave I found is at Artillery Wood.I believe there was an 'action' on the 22 October but have failed to find out where it was. Can anyone help? Thanks in anticipation. Kind regards Phil

The first time I tried the PC locked so I thought I had lost it! Cheers, Phil
