Hi all

I've been given a BWM named to 133373 2 AM M ZODICKSON, R.A.F, ( interesting name ). i wonder if anybody can tell me anything about him , particulary if he's entitled to any more medals, or if he got his BWM for home service.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Graham

The British Jewry Book of Honour has  two of the brothers in Kings Liverpool Regt.

M could be Max or brother Moses**? But we know Max had previous Army service before transfer to RFC 1918.

H is Harry who was Kia 1/7/16 with 18th KLR.

**Edit- unlikely to be Moses, b 1900, given the low service number.

Service record has him enlisting in the RFC on 22 January 1918 and was posted to 1 Aircraft Depot on that same date as a Rigger, Aero.  He was then posted to 2 ASD on 3 April 1919 before returning to Home Establishment on 19 May 1919.

Seems he was one of the lucky ones as his record shows him diagnosed with influenza on 25 October 1918, being discharged back to Base Depot on 4 November.

He received both the BWM and VM.
