Guest Skinzloving Posted 7 April , 2005 Share Posted 7 April , 2005 My Great Grandfather, Private 15445 John William Cooke of 1st Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment was killed in Action on Saturday 6th March 1915. He is buried at Bethune Town Cemetry. Is there someone on this forum who knows about the Gloucesters and especially the 1st battalion. I would be really interested to know more. Also if anyone has ever come across his medals, I would certainly be interested and would be grateful for any information.
