Peter Bennett Posted 30 April , 2023 Share Posted 30 April , 2023 I am trying to help a friend find out which regiment he served in, she is certain that his name was Richard (Dick) Patrick. If anyone can help identify the cap badge and possibly the uniform I would be very grateful Thank you
tonydb Posted 30 April , 2023 Share Posted 30 April , 2023 I would suggest Life Guards or Royal Horse Guards. Tony.
FROGSMILE Posted 30 April , 2023 Share Posted 30 April , 2023 (edited) I agree with tonydb and the shoulder titles that are just about visible would seem to chime with those regiments too. The spurs he wears also fits. My only caution is to bear in mind that there were a handful or more of regular and yeomanry cavalry regiments that had similar shaped cap badges. NB. The background looks like Wellington Barracks in London. Edited 30 April , 2023 by FROGSMILE
