Hi,

I'm looking for any photos or where I could find any of this regiment/ battalion?

My Great Great Uncle was serving in this when he was killed in 1915. He was Private 16471 William Joseph Allen.

Many thanks,

Steff

Just did a quick search. I guess you know this but maybe of some interest

1911 census shows he was living with his parents Richard and Elizabeth Mary at Coney Heath Herts

William Joseph Allen. Pte. 16471. To France 25-5-1915. Reported missing 16-6-1915 (later confirmed killed in action), just 22 days after arriving in France .

Soldiers effects lists his death as 'on or since 16-6-1915' Father Richard.

Commemorated on Le Touret Memorial, France.

His brother Albert Allen G/13742 Middlesex Regiment was also Killed in action

Both brothers are listed on above link.

Again sorry if I am telling you what you already know.

Thank you! Yes I'm trying to research both Allen brothers and uncover their story.
