stevenbecker Posted 25 April , 2023 Share Posted 25 April , 2023 Mates, One of the more interesting Anzac days was when attached to the Blues and Royals around 1990 Our Sqn was on Exchange with them and we held a Dawn Service and Gunfire Breakfast When inquired by the B&R, a number came out the gather with us for the service OF cause as Australians its some times hard to get through to our media about Gallipoli being fought by not only us and the Kiwis also many other nations I remember the British soldiers as they need not get up early with us but many did Lest we forget S.B
Admin Michelle Young Posted 25 April , 2023 Admin Share Posted 25 April , 2023 I shall be venturing out to visit the Anzac soldiers who lie far from home in the cemeteries on Salisbury Plain later, and remember, as I do every day, my own family Anzac, Ernie Serls. The picture is a painting by Tim Godden of Ernie bidding farewell to his best mate Lester Shaw before Ernie was killed at Brodseinde.
