German help please (IRC records)

I can see that the soldier in question (second one down) was taken prisoner at or near St. Quentin on 21.3.1918, and he was wounded in the left shoulder, but what was the other wound - it looks like L. Geschicht.

This is odd - I would have expected "Gesicht" (i.e. face) but as you say this looks like Geschicht, which doesn't make sense. Hopefully one of the German language experts will come along and solve this.

It should be Gesicht - Face, it has been written by an Englishman who has made a spelling mistake.

I have asked my German son-in-law. He world agree there is an error with the way the German is written and suggest it L face and L shoulder
