Motorised Cycle 1904?

The rifle slung across the top of a frame is a long Lee-Enfield and the bike was made by the firm of Rex and manufactured in Coventry.

Just to add some details: the motorbike is a Rex Onbekend 372 cc single cylinder motorcycle. I am sure someone will come along an identify the uniform the man is wearing but it appears that the motorcycle may be in a military livery with registration number to match.

Previously discussed here. The bike is indeed a Rex (Model 1904) but there’s nothing on the original photograph to indicate a 1904 date, but certainly pre-war.

Thanks, gents. Here`s the much better photo previously posted in 2016.

Frogsmile added this information:-

He wears the final pattern of scarlet frock from the very late 1890s (hence perhaps its pristine condition), so-called 'Stohwasser' gaiters and some heavy quality (usually 32oz per sq yard) Bedford Cord, or perhaps Cavalry Twill, it's difficult to be sure.
