Bob Coulson Posted 6 April , 2005 Share Posted 6 April , 2005 John Bowers served with the 28th battalion Saskatchewan Regiment and died on September 15th 1916. He is remembered on the Vimy Memorial and also on Middlesbrough War Memorial here in the north east. Can anyone supply brief details of the battalions actions on that day.? Bob. Broznitsky Posted 6 April , 2005 Share Posted 6 April , 2005 Can anyone supply brief details of the battalions actions on that day.? Bob. Derek Robertson is your man. Library and Archives Canada has the War Diary online; look for 28th and September 1916. There is a lengthy appendix describing the action on this fateful day.
