Pte William Wilson pension card query

looking into a soldier killed in 1916, Ive found his medal details and the majority of paperwork available.

BUT, I cant find a birth listing for him and there is a family tree, which also is lacking birth details and only has the 1901 census, Ive also got the 1911 census as well. we know where he was born and where his parents were living but not baptism/christening or birth record.

On Fold3, there are a few cards one of which is linked to 5/13424 A&SHI which should be S/13424. A&SHI

the 5/13424 card lists Mrs Lucy Wilson, which could be right for his mother, but the regiment is RASC and a different service number, presumably this is incorrectly indexed? His MIC only lists the one regiment and number.

thoughts on the card, is it the same? did he serve as a previous RASC? why would Fold 3 link 5/13424 to S/13424? a simple mis read if it were another man ??

What number is that?

His MIC shows him as  only A&SH S/13424. (Rolls show 10th Bn., and no other service in theatre of war in other regiments:

Have you tried Scotland's People in case he was born in Scotland?

Dai

just had a look and T4/276326 is William Hy (Henry) Wilson RASC, but opening a pension card for him gets MANS NAME: Arthur Leonard Dodswell  number 218342 Lab Corps

claiment Louise Wilson

so thinking they have mixed things up well and truly

Btw, he was born in Askam in Furness, LAncs

That's strange.

No MIC for  a Wilson or a Dodswell/Dodwell under 276326, but Dodwell (note spelling) does with the number 218342, Labour Corps.
