ShtLE303 Posted 6 March , 2023 Share Posted 6 March , 2023 I honestly didn't know where to post this, this seemed like the most likely spot. This is a Union Jack Red Ensign I've had for many years. As you can see, time hasn't been very good to it. I found it in an antique shop folded up in an old chest of drawers, had to have it. It measures roughly 4ft by 8ft, and has numerous repairs to it here and there. I've often wondered if it dates to the Great War era, was wondering if there was something about it that may give some idea about its age. The seller claimed it was roughly from that era, but you know how that goes. Enjoy the pics!
Gunner 87 Posted 7 March , 2023 Share Posted 7 March , 2023 Hello. 'The Flag Institute' has a enquiries page which appears to offer expert help at no cost. If they are unable to date the flag maybe they can signpost you to someone, or an organisation, that can. https://www.flaginstitute.org/wp/contact-flag-institute/
